BOWMORE BEGINS DRILLING ON CHIVAS GOLD-SILVER PROPERTY, SONORA, MEXICO.

Montréal, Québec – February 22, 2012 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, 0B5.F: Frankfurt “Bowmore”) is pleased to announce the start of a Phase One 2,500 meter diamond drill program on the CHIVAS property located in Sonora, Mexico.

The objective of the first phase of drilling will be to:

• Test the IP geophysical anomalies on the Silica Cap zone, (see news  release dated November 22, 2011). These IP anomalies identified moderate to  strong chargeability values over large volume of rock extending SSE-NNW over  these zones and;

• Test the areas of the Mesa Blanca zone where high resistivity anomalies at the sub-surface were found, indicating the presence of anomalous silica content associated with disseminated sulphide. It also corresponds to previous surface sampling and identification of high silicification and a large area with presence of anomalous buddingtonite from the TerraSpec sampling program done in early 2011.

Visit: www.Bowmorexploration.com\chivas\ipsurvey\chargeability.jpg and
www.Bowmorexploration.com\chivas\ipsurvey\resistivity.jpg) and;

• To follow up on the previously drilled Piedra Rodante gold-silver zone and to test possible extensions of the mineralization to the south and at depth, where historical values returned up to 1.26 g/t Au and 182 g/t Ag over 15 meters.(See Amex Exploration Jacques Marchand (QP) NI 43-101 report March 1, 2010.)

These significant targets have been defined by previous exploration work in 2010 and 2011 that lead to the identified of a large low sulphidation epithermal system that covers an area of approximately 5.2 km² (see news release October 26, 2010, news release July 14, 2011 and news release November 22, 2011).

The Property

The Property is composed of 2 claims covering over 24,841 hectares and is located within the Sierra Madre Occidental gold belt (“SMO”). The SMO is host to reserves of more than 40 Million ounces of gold and 2 Billion ounces of silver. The Chivas property is optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX: TSX-V) and is 15 kilometres to the west of the Dolores Mine owned by Minfinders Corporation Ltd. .The earn-in option provides Bowmore the right to acquire up to 70% interest in the property (see news release dated April 8, 2010).

Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore Exploration Ltd., stated: “we are very excited to test drill the Chivas property where we have been focusing our effort over the last two years. So far results have been very encouraging corroborating the evidence of a very large epithermal system. The initial drill program will allow us to test the first three zones being the Silica Cap, Mesa, and Mesa Blanca. The result of previous work programs clearly indicate extensions towards the Cerro Rojo zone that will need further follow up.”

BOWMORE INTERSECTS 115 METRES GRADING 0.35 g/t GOLD ON THE ST-VICTOR PROPERTY

Montréal, Québec – December 15, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, “Bowmore” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce results from the 2011 drill program on the 100% owned St-Victor property, located 15 km east of the town of Asbestos in south-eastern Quebec. This grass-roots exploration program is targeting sediment-hosted, low-grade, bulk tonnage gold deposits similar to those found at Sukhoi Log (Siberia) or at Kinross’ Paracatu Mine in Brazil.

Eight drill holes (total of 1627 metres) were completed to test for depth extent of gold mineralization near three gold-bearing zones (Gérard, Wotton and Wotton NW) defined from the 2009 and 2010 prospecting and surface sampling programs (see October 12, 2010 press release), as well as to test a portion of a geophysical (electromagnetic) anomaly near the Gérard zone. All drill holes, except for the one testing the geophysical conductor, returned anomalous gold values (better than 0.1 g/t Au over decametres) hosted within pyrite-bearing black slates. The table below summarizes significant assay results obtained from the Wotton NW and Wotton zones:

Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore Explorations Ltd stated: ‘We are very pleased by these preliminary drill results on our Saint-Victor property. Wotton NW is particularly encouraging as it confirms the potential for a bulk-tonnage gold deposit near the historic mining district of Asbestos and Thetford-Mines, two mining communities deeply affected by decreasing asbestos demand. Any success at defining a gold deposit minable by open pit methods will capitalize on the presence of a local, highly skilled mining workforce.”

All mineralization encountered in the drill holes reported above is relatively homogeneous (individual samples grading 0.10 to 0.65 g/t gold) and believed to be strata bound in nature, i.e. genetically related to a unit of pyrite slate. No enrichment related to quartz veins or nugget effects were noted in the core samples.

Two holes were drilled to test the Wotton NW gold zone (V11-01 and V11-02) and these produced the best results. To see the cross section please visit (www.Bowmorexploration.com\St-Victor\DDH2011.jpg). The holes were collared 85 metres apart in the nose of a SW-plunging, recumbent anticlinal fold structure that hosts the unit of auriferous pyritic slate. Results from these two holes suggest the slate unit has a minimum true thickness of 80 metres and previous surface sampling indicates a minimum strike length of 1000 metres along the fold axis. Such structural control on disseminated, sediment-hosted gold mineralization is reminiscent of Sukhoi Log, a +30 million ounces gold deposit grading an average of 2.0 g/t Au occurring in Siberia (Ref: Large et. al., 2007, Economic Geology, v. 102, pp. 1233-1267; unclassified non-43-101 compliant resource).

Four holes were drilled on the Wotton zone (V11-03 to V11-06). The Wotton zone is located 2.3 km southeast of the Wotton NW zone within a separate anticlinal structure. All holes intersected anomalous gold values over tens of metres (e.g. 0.13 g/t Au from 13 to 143 metres in hole V-11-03; 0.11 g/t Au from 3 to 51 metres in hole V-11-04; 0.10 g/t Au from 6 to 60 metres in hole V-11-05; 0.11 g/t Au from 42 to 104 metres in hole V-11-06). Although Wotton zone gold values are below current bulk-tonnage cut-off grades for such mines as Paracatu, they are significant in that they confirm, along with other zones such as Gérard, the regional distribution of the auriferous pyritic slate unit.

Hole V-11-07 was drilled on the Gérard Zone, located 5.6 km southwest of the Wotton NW zone. This hole also returned anomalous values, e.g. 0.16 g/t Au from 52 to 74 metres and 0.14 g/t Au from 142 to 185 metres).

Bowmore is very encouraged by these results and plans further work that will include drilling the Wotton NW zone both westward and down-plunge along the gently dipping anticlinal fold axis. Laboratory petrographic work will also focus on establishing whether the gold is truly associated with the pyrite in the slates.

Bowmore follows strict QA-QC protocol measures in keeping with industry standards and regulatory reporting requirements. All drill cores was processed using descriptive logging and systematic sampling for analysis. NQ core samples were cut in half, with one half delivered to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference. Duplicates, blanks and standards were inserted into the sample sequence. Reported drill core assay weighted averages were calculated using a minimum of 0.20 g/t Au over successive intervals of 20 metres. The lengths of mineralized intervals of less than 20 metres were minimized. Lost core within mineralized intersections were incorporated as blank intervals. All samples were prepared and analyzed at the facilities of ALS Chemex Val D’Or Quebec. The processed samples were submitted to a standard Fire Assay with AA technique (Au-AA-24) on a 50 gram sub-sample. The reader is directed to ALS Chemex website for more details: www.alsglobal.com/mineral.

THREE SIGNIFICANT GEOPHYSICAL IP ANOMALIES FOUND ON CHIVAS, MEXICO.

Montréal, Québec – November 22, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, 0B5.F: Frankfurt “Bowmore”) is pleased to announce the identification of three significant geophysical anomalies following a Pole-dipole Induced Polarization survey (the “IP Survey”) conducted on the Chivas property in Sonora, Mexico. The Chivas property is optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX: TSX-V). The IP survey was initiated in June and completed in early August 2011, targeting the Silica Cap and the Mesa Blanca zones where previous exploration work in 2010 and 2011 identified a large low sulphidation epithermal system within the Chivas property (see news release October 26, 2010 and news release July 14, 2011).

Six lines, spaced at two hundred meters apart trending East-West were surveyed for a total of 19.7 linear kilometres The survey was conducted by Geofísica TMC SA de CV from Mexico.

The results of the survey allowed for the generation of a reliable 3D model of the electrical properties of the rock up to 550 meters depth and identification of three (3) IP anomalies named IP1, IP2, and IP3. The amplitude of the chargeability anomalies is described as weak to moderate, indicating pervasive oxidation along a favourable corridor. The resistivity results outlined zones of high resistivity indicating the presence of anomalous silica content and the high chargeability anomalies represent zones of anomalous disseminated sulphides in rock. All 3 anomalies overlap well defined occurrences of surface (buddingtonite) alteration identified by previous work programs.

The IP1 anomaly covers the eastern part of the Silica Cap zone and extends at depth in the western part of the grid. The chargeability values are week to moderate and occupy a large volume of rock, 500-800 meters in width extending in the SE-NW direction towards the Mesa Blanca zone. The weak to moderate chargeability reflects a pervasive oxidation of the disseminated sulphides throughout the anomalous corridor.

The IP2 anomaly extends at shallow depths along the eastern flanks of IP1 between the Silica Cap and the Mesa Blanca zones. It corresponds to a high resistivity anomaly at the sub-surface indicating the presence of anomalous silica content associated with disseminated sulphide. It also corresponds to previous surface sampling and identification of high silicification and a large area with presence of anomalous buddingtonite from the TerraSpec sampling program done in early 2011.

The IP3 anomaly extends at shallow depth along the Mesa Blanca zone and remains open towards the northwest (Piedra Rodante zone). The anomaly has the same SE-NW trends as IP1 and IP2. It corresponds to a high resistivity anomaly suggesting the presence of strong silicification. (Visit: www.bowmorexploration.com/chivas/ipsurvey/chargeability.jpg and www.bowmorexploration.com/chivas/ipsurvey/resistivity.jpg)

The Company is in the process of planning road access towards these intended targets and is preparing a budget for a diamond drill program planned in early 2012. The diamond drill program will be to test these anomalies and other targets that were identified in previous exploration work programs within this 5.2 km² area.

Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore Exploration Ltd., stated: “We are pleased with the results to date and the recent TerraSpec survey is providing us with a better understanding of this very large alteration zone. We have outlined what seems to be an intense hydrothermal zone that covers several square kilometers”.

BOWMORE COMMENCES STANDARD GOLD AND DUVERNY DRILL PROGRAM

Montréal, Québec – November 14, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, 0B5.F: Frankfurt “Bowmore”) is pleased to announce the start of a Phase One 5,000 meter diamond drill program on its Standard Gold and Duverny properties, both located in the Abitibi region of Quebec. The objective of the first phase of drilling will be to 1) confirm some of the historical gold intersections in proximity to the past-producing Standard Gold mine and 2) test the host granodiorite intrusion for possible extensions to gold mineralization along sections spaced 700 meters apart. The intrusion defined from previous drilling and by its aeromagnetic signature, is 4.8 km long and 150 to 250 meters wide. It occurs on both properties and hosts the Standard Gold deposit, as well as regional, intense carbonate alteration similar to what occurs in the historical Larder lake gold camp in Ontario.

Previous drilling around the Standard Gold mine (surface and underground holes) indicates potential for bulk tonnage gold mineralization around the past-producing mine and along the granodiorite intrusion. Although only partial assays are available for most historical holes, a few were fully analyzed and returned significant intersections. Highlights are summarized in the following table:

Bowmore has not verified the assaying quality nor the validity of the historical gold intersections reported above. However, Bowmore believes that these results warrant disclosing and are relevant to the planning of the upcoming drill program.
The company is in the process of obtained all necessary agreements and permits for property access and drilling work to be done on the targeted areas. Drilling will extend into the winter period (freeze up) to allow access to swampy portions of the properties.

Standard Gold Property
The Standard Gold property is located in Duverny Township some 19km northeast of the town of Amos, Quebec. It includes the Standard Gold Mine, which operated between 1935 and 1953 producing an unreported quantity of gold. It has been the object of historical exploration work including much diamond drilling. Higher grade gold mineralization occurs within a sheeted, subvertical quartz vein system trending north-northeast with a documented minimum surface extent of 200 metres by 200 metres and a minimum depth of 250 metres. The vein system is hosted within intensely carbonate-altered granodiorite wallrock and historical drilling suggests the wallrock contains low-grade gold mineralization. The vein system sits within a brittle, regionally carbonate-altered (ankeritic) granodiorite intrusion that extends for about 4.8 kilometres within a regional shear zone that itself extends for 9 kilometres onto the adjacent Duverny property to the northwest.
Bowmore has an option to acquire a 51% interest in the Standard Gold property from Threegold Resources Inc. (THG: TSX-V) by making total cash payments of $280,000 and incurring expenditures of $4,000,000 over a five year period. Bowmore may acquire an additional 19% interest (total of 70%) by incurring $6 million in exploration expenditures over an additional five year period.

Duverny

The property is located 15 kilometres North East of the town of Amos and has been the object of historical exploration work since the 1920’s including diamond and reverse circulation drilling, and bulk sampling that reported numerous gold occurrences within the property limits and its vicinity. The property is also located in a favourable geological setting to host low-grade, bulk tonnage gold mineralization. The property geology is dominated by volcanic rocks and covers the edges of the Duverny and Claverny felsic igneous plutons. The property encompasses very large, kilometric zones of intense carbonate alteration (ankerite) and a network of significant shear zones in proximity to the felsic intrusions.

Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore Exploration Ltd., stated: “I am pleased to see the drill program at our Standard Gold and Duverny property underway prior to the year end. Both these properties present a great potential for low-grade, bulk tonnage gold mineralization. Some of these historical diamond drill holes indicate good grades and we are hoping to expand these areas of interest.”

BOWMORE intersect 40.5 meters grading 0.51 g/t gold & 3.7 g/t silver at the Nueva Escondida property in Mexico

Montréal, Québec – October 13th, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, the “Company”) is pleased to announce an update of its drill campaign and exploration activities on the Nueva Escondida Property, located in the State of Sonora, Mexico.

The Property composed of 9 claims covering 6,200 hectares is located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental gold belt (“SMO”) and was optioned from AMEX Exploration Inc. (AMX: TSX-V) in May 2010 (see news release (NR) dated July 12, 2010).

The drill program was completed September 17th, and consisted of 8 diamond drill holes for a total of 1561.8 meters. The objective of the drill program was to test the `Rodeo Zone“ a large area of anomalous gold-silver and polymetallic sulfides described in the NR dated May 19th 2011. The program has intersected favorable altered limestone and carbonaceous sediments in addition of variable breccias and silicified porphyritic felsic intrusions. The geology, alteration and mineralization remains generally identical to what was previously mapped on surface (see NR 19-05-11). Assay Results received to date are summarized in table 1.

Only results for the first 4 holes have been received to date; hole NE2011-04 intersected three different gold bearing intervals hosted in altered and/or brecciated intrusive and sediments. The most significant intersection is the third gold bearing zone that returned 40.5 metres grading 0.51 g/t Au and 3.7 g/t Ag with a higher grade section of 1.6 meter grading 3,08 g/t Au and 28 g/t Ag associated with a short jasperoidal interval. The first gold bearing intersect is located at the beginning of the hole into a breccia that bears some characteristics of an igneous diatreme breccia(Table 1 summarizes the assay results of the first 4 holes).

Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore Exploration Ltd., stated: “We are encouraged by the initial results of the first Nueva Escondida drill campaign. We look forward to the results of the final 4 holes and to an expanded drill program on this large alteration system.

The cores have been subject to descriptive logging and systematic sampling for analysis. All drill core samples were cut in half, with one half delivered to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference. Duplicates, blanks and standards were inserted into the sample sequence. All samples were prepared and analyzed at the facilities of ALS Chemex Hermosillo, Mexico. The processed samples were submitted to a standard Fire Assay with AA technique (Au-AA-24) on a 50 gram sub-sample and Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy (ME-ICP-41). The reader is directed to ALS Chemex website for more details; www.alsglobal.com/mineral

BOWMORE ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF $1.9 MILLION NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Montréal, Québec – September 30th, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, the “Company”) is pleased to announce the completion of its non-brokered private placement announced on September 2nd, 2011 (the “Private Placement”). Bowmore sold a total of 3,800,000 flow-through units (the “Units”) at a price of $0.50 per Unit for gross proceeds of $1.9 million. Each Unit consisted of one common share of Bowmore issued as “flow-through” and one-half of one common share purchase warrant (each whole warrant, a “Warrant”). Each Warrant entitles the holder to acquire one non flow-through common share of the Company for a period of twenty four (24) months at an exercise price of $0.75 per share.
All securities issued pursuant to the Private Placement bear a four month hold period expiring on January 31, 2012.
Approximately 60% of the Units were acquired by insiders of the Company and related party members and the remaining Units by “Pro group” and other accredited investors. With the issuance of this private placement and the existing ownership, Osisko Mining Corporation and insiders now own approximately 52% of the Company. The Company has determined that there were exemptions available from the various requirements of TSX Venture Policy 5.9 and Multilateral Instrument 61-101 for the issuance of the securities to the insiders and related party members. No new insiders were created, nor has there been any change of control as a result of the Private Placement.

The proceeds from the Private Placement will be used for exploration work on the Company’s Quebec based properties. The Company immediately initiated an exploration program on its Standard Gold and Duverny property and will provide to its shareholders a detailed update of his program in the near future.

BOWMORE signs an Option to Acquire up to 70% of the Standard Gold Property in the Abitibi region of Quebec.

Montréal, Québec – August 15th, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, “The Company”) is pleased to announce that it has signed an Option Agreement to acquire up to 70% of the Standard Gold Property (the “Property”) in the Abitibi region of Quebec from Threegold Resources Inc. by way of an assignment agreement with Osisko Mining Corporation.

THE TRANSACTION

Pursuant to the Option Agreement (the “Agreement”) between Threegold Resources Inc. (THG: TSX-V) and Bowmore Exploration Ltd., and the assignment agreement with Osisko Mining Corporation,(OSK: TSX) the Company may acquire 51% interest in the Property and will have the exclusive rights to explore and develop the Property over the next 5 years in consideration of:

A onetime cash payment of $20,000 to Osisko Mining Corporation for the assignment of the agreement.

Total cash payments of $280,000 to Threegold Resources Inc. as follows:

a.	$25,000 payable on the first anniversary date of the Agreement;

b.	$30,000 payable on the second anniversary date of the Agreement;

c.	$50,000 payable on the third anniversary date of the Agreement;

d.	$65,000 payable on the fourth anniversary date of the Agreement and;

e.	$110,000 payable on the fifth anniversary date of the Agreement.

Incur expenditures in the aggregate amount of at least $4,000,000 on or before the following dates:

a.	$300,000 within the first year of the date of the Agreement;

b.	$600,000 on the second anniversary date of the Agreement;

c.	$850,000 on the third anniversary date of the Agreement;

d.	$1,000,000 on the fourth anniversary date of the Agreement and;

e.	$1,250,000 on the fifth anniversary date of the Agreement.

At the end of this period, Bowmore will have acquired a 51% interest in the Property. The Company may acquire an additional 19% interest in the Property by incurring $6,000,000 in additional exploration expenditures during another five year period.

Mr. Paul Dumas, President of Bowmore, stated “We are very pleased with this recent transaction providing the Company with additional property within the mineral rich Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The Standard Gold property is adjacent to our existing Duverny Property and this adds excellent value to our existing portfolio in that part of the belt. Because of the existing strategic alliance we have with Osisko Mining Corporation and the significant interest they hold within the Company, it only makes sense to allow Bowmore to consolidate its position within the Duverny township area.”

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The Property is composed of 70 claims covering 3326 hectares and is located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the town of Amos in the Abitibi region of Quebec. The Property is adjacent and contiguous to Bowmore’s existing Duverny Property. The area is easily accessible by paved road from Amos and then from gravel roads penetrating trough various parts of Duverny Township. The property package now includes a long mineralized shear structure that includes the past-producing Standard Gold mine, which operated intermittently between 1935 and 1952, producing an unrecorded amount of gold.

The past-producing mine is located within a sheeted, sub vertical quartz-gold vein system trending north-northeast with a documented minimum surface extent of 200 metres by 200 metres and a minimum depth of 250 metres. The vein system is hosted within intensely carbonate-altered diorite wallrock and historical drilling suggests the wallrock contains low-grade gold mineralization. The vein system sits within a brittle, regionally carbonated diorite intrusion that stretches for about 4 kilometres within a shear zone. The shear zone extends for 9 kilometers onto the existing Duverny property to the northwest.

Historical drilling suggests potential for a low-grade bulk tonnage gold deposit at the site of the Standard Gold mine as well as elsewhere within the diorite body. Compilation of the property will be completed by the end of August with the aim of initiating a drill program before the end of September 2011.

BOWMORE COMPLETES CLAY ALTERATION SURVEY/ OUTLINES LARGE ALTERATION ZONE.

Montréal, Québec – July 14th, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, 0B5.F: Frankfurt “Bowmore”) is pleased to announce that it has completed its phase 2 TerraSpec alteration sampling program, on the “Chivas” property located in the productive Sierra Madre gold belt of Mexico, State of Sonora. The Chivas property is optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX: TSX-V). A total of 755 TerraSpec alteration samples were taken and analyzed for high temperature clay alteration minerals that are known to be associated with mineral deposits. Sample analysis was done by Melissa Mateer Ph.D. of Tabatay Geologic Consulting LLC. The program was designed to cover the ‘Silica Cap”, “Mesa”, “Mesa Blanca”, “Piedra Rodante” and the “Cerro Rojo” zones by taking samples at an average 100 meters spacing (visit: www.bowmorexploration.com/chivas/TerraSpec.jpg).

The survey covered almost the entire Aster anomalies and the areas of intensely silicified/brecciated strata bound lithocap that is mapped over a strike length of 2.5 kilometres. The survey results indicated the presence of multiphase alteration minerals, starting with the buddingtonite (ammonium feldspar), followed by the Illite and ammonium (NH4) Illite, found in higher concentration on the NW of the large anomaly and on the Mesa Blanca area, being notably associated to volcanic hosted gold mineralization such as the gold bearing Piedra Rodante silicified breccias zone (visit: www.bowmorexploration.com/chivas/Spectroscopy/results.jpg).

The signature and the disposition of the alteration minerals indicate the presence of a low epithermal sulphidation system (Au/Ag) trending NW. These ammonium bearing minerals are particularly interesting, and provide evidence of paleoboiling zones that may lead to fertile precious metal mineralization deposit. The silicified zones (lithocap) area (see press releases dated September 24th 2010 and April 13th 2011) located west of this whole system allows us to establish its original paleosurface level, starting by a large hectometric sequence of felsic tuff-rhyodacite volcanics followed by Cretaceous sediments. To date, the chemical results obtained from the Phase 1 survey samples and from all rock surface samples are showing a relation between anomalous concentrations in arsenic (As) with Illite, NH4 Illite and buddingtonite bearing zones. Chemical results from the phase 2 survey samples are still pending. The whole system is now proven to be bigger, including the Mesa and the Cerro Rojo zones in the NW, covering an area of approximately 5.7 km2 (visit: www.bowmorexploration.com/chivas/alterationzone.jpg).

Structurally, the area was affected by Basin and Range NNW normal faults system and a deep ENE trending fault where the Piedra Rodante area was uplifted, exposing now higher grades with wider gold bearing zones (Hole PR07-19 with 15.24 meters at 1.26g/t Au and 182 g/t Ag). On the Mesa area, the presence of Illite and NH4 Illite is indicated by a sequence of NW to NNW trending silicified breccias and faults, dipping abruptly toward the east. On the Mesa Blanca area, the surface mapping and the results from the survey are supporting the presence of NW, NNW and an ENE faults that are acting as hydrothermal conducts.

BOWMORE OUTLINES GOLD TARGET AT NUEVA ESCONDIDA AND COMMENCE PERMITTING FOR DRILLING

Montréal, Québec – May 19th, 2011 – BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (BOW: TSX-V, 0B5.F: Frankfurt “Bowmore”) is pleased to announce that it has outlined a significant gold and silver-zinc-lead drill target at the Nueva Escondida property Sonora Mexico (property optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX:TSX-V). The Company is in the process of obtaining all necessary permits and license to be able to test drill the target, planned for early summer of 2011. The diamond drill program will consist of approximately 2000 meters consisting of 6 to 8 holes targeting a large area of anomalous gold values in rock and in soils.

The rock sampling program conducted on Nueva Escondida in 2010 has confirmed gold mineralization along with values in silver, zinc and lead. This work program revealed a mineralized zone measuring about 600 meters by 800 meters called the “Rodeo Zone” and confirmed previous historical work done on the area. The main gold zone (Nueva Escondida-Rodeo Zone) is within a hydrothermally altered setting of approximately 5 km² where 347 samples were taken in 2010. From these and historical samples, the Rodeo zone was delimited and confirmed by 242 rock samples ≥ 40 ppb Au, of which 169 are ≥ 100 ppb Au, 71 samples ≥ 300 ppb Au and 11 samples > 1000 ppb Au. This same zone was also confirmed by 22 historical soil samples with gold values between 35 ppb and 407 ppb. For additional information please refer to Amex Exploration Inc. press release dated May 17th, 2011.

Most of the gold values are associated with intense silicification where complete replacement and local brecciation over a true width of 10 meters occurs along the north-northwest contact between a sub vertical dacitic porphyry intrusion (~380×850m) and a Cretaceous sediment sequence of limestone, siltstone and sandstone. Toward the west, intense alteration has affected the sediments where argilization, marbleization, dolomitization and local silicification are present over a distance of 950 meters. Toward the east, the intrusion is locally argilized and silicified over a distance of 350 meters.

A radiometric and magnetic airborne survey was conducted over most of the property in mid 2010. The survey identified several major structures and established zones of interest for additional sampling and mapping.

Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore Exploration Ltd., stated: “I am pleased to see that the permitting is underway to eventually test drill the main gold zone at Nueva Escondida. So far the 2010 work program corroborated historical work and has yielded positive results by expanding the Rodeo zone.

The Property

The Property is composed of 8 claims covering over 6,100 hectares and is located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental gold belt (“SMO”). The SMO is host to reserves of more than 40 Million ounces of gold and 2 Billion ounces of silver. The Nueva Escondida project is situated within the Basin and Range Province located at the western edge of the Sierra Madre Occidental.
